The Association for Palliative Medicine of Great Britain and Ireland (APM) is one of the world’s largest representative bodies for medical/healthcare professionals practicing or interested in palliative care, with a growing membership of over 1,300.
In 2014, Compleat were contracted to support the APM Trustees with Association Management. Tasked with improving the financial position of the organisation, streamlining processes and building relationships with the membership.
With Trustees in post for a limited timeframe, Compleat have provided the ‘constant’ throughout. The implementation of bespoke membership software has provided cost effective efficiencies. The level of communication has been improved and regular meetings and reviewing of objectives ensures year on year the organisation can deliver objectives and continue to grow. To deliver on the brief, Compleat support the APM with:
- member applications, renewals and queries
- the production of bi-monthly bulletins
- minute taking
- website updates
- national benchmarking audits
- board and committee support
- finance and budgeting
Compleat have helped improve the organisations financial position and raised the APM profile. As a result, the Association have become much more visible within healthcare.
